The Domaine
d'Essendiéras

At the top of one of the highest hills of the Dordogne, with a magnificent view of the Isle valley, lies the Domaine d’Essendieras.

On the estate, there are two castles that have been restored by local artisans in the purest Périgourdine tradition. The most recent castle dates from the 19th century, opening onto the gardens and a swimming pool with an exceptional panorama. The “old” castle, meanwhile, dates back to the 16th century, revealing its reception rooms, its bridal suites, and its spa, all in a spirit of rare authenticity.

The exposed beams of the ceiling are original as well as the adobe floors and the large fireplace. The buildings and the annexes form a closed interior courtyard.

Points of view, perspectives, color schemes; Whatever the season, Le Domaine d’Essendieras will leave you with an unforgettable memory. Restoration work preserves the initial functionality of the buildings. You will be able to rediscover the stables, the forge, the joinery and the tobacco store. Different types of trees line the path leading to the Domaine, enchanting each season with new color compositions.

The lands of Essendiéras offer a very wide variety of landscapes. From panoramic views to small forest trails, they will delight the walker.
