On 15 December 2019, Jacqueline Denivelle-Desthomas presented her book “Le Roman d’Essendiéras” at the Clubhouse du Golf. The book tells the impressive story of the families who have lived on the estate and how it has evolved over time.
The Essendiéras novel is the only work to recount the events that took place in the lands known as Essendiéras. Through this novel, we discover not only the history of this place in the heart of the Périgord, but also the characters who have contributed to its development over the centuries.
The Domaine d’Essendiéras as we see it today is the fruit of a rich history. The walls of its properties have been home to many families and illustrious figures such as André Maurois.
Discover the history of the Pasquet, Malet de la Jorie, Pouquet and de Caillavet families, as well as the Maurois family and the arrival of Sylvain Floirat and the Bakker family.

The Domaine has been offering an indoor padel court since April 2025, open to the general public.

25 Years at Essendiéras
On 24 December 1999, the adventure at Essendiéras began. The estate has become what it is today partly thanks to all the guests over the past 25 years.
